Ponytail holder question :- do those -ball/cube/flower- ponytail holders hold hair well or not ?

my daughter wants some of those old-fashioned ponytail holders with plastic things at the ends... Are those kind of elastics good enough to secure 2 thick pigtails (which my daughter usually has),or I'll have to tie the pigtails first w/ regulars bands, and then those fancy elastics secured over ?

They work really well, but are hard to put in properly. You are better off putting them in a simple band, and putting the fancy bands on top.

You are right, I would use good regular bands to hold her hair and then use the fancy pretty ones on top. I do that for my daughter too because she has a lot of hair.
