As a musician, and a moderate democrat i agree that music can be a unifying influence in society. Even my 16 yr old, my 23yr old, and I can agree on some music.

Sadly, with cuts in public funding of schools, music and art are often the first programs to go.

You are absolutely right I'm from the Right but I love music from the left. I may not agree with the politics but it doesn't change the quality of the music. I also think that Americans having different view points is healthy for the country we all just need to understand that just because we don't agree doesn't mean that we are not both expressing a view point we each believe that is best for the nation as a whole.
