Don't worry they come in black, brown, clear and as you can see assorted colors.

Regular rubber bands will pull your hair out.

I use rubber bands on my braids at work when I'm desperate to get my hair out of my face, and believe me, they HURT when you try to pull them out. Avoid it if possible.
