Girls: What Syle do You Like Your Guys to Dress In?

I'm an 18 y.o. guy and an actor with an eclectic clothing style all my own. I used to, through high school, do my best to dress like a Greaser (Elvis, Brando, everyone in the movie Grease); t-shirts, jeans and motorcycle boots with slick hair. However that rarely did anything but get me the nickname 'Elvis,' so I decided to mix things up a bit. Today I've got a different thing going:

Typically blue jeans,

My tan cowboy boots or deck shoes (no socks)

T-shirts under opened button-up collared shirts

Aviator sunglasses

3 rings on my fingers, my watch, and a couple different leather arm bands

My hair is currently most like that of James Dean

and I occasionally wear a gray cowboy hat when I feel like it...

My question is this: Is it a tad off-putting? Maybe a bit too theatric? I'm not going to dress preppy. I don't really like shorts or sneakers, and I don't consider myself a cowboy, although I do frequently get "Brokeback Mountain" jokes when I wear my hat.

I would drop the cowboy boots and hat. I would also recommend some pollos. You might like those.

All girls like different styles..I personally like the preppy look, although you don't, but not TOO overly preppy. The style you described is not what I would usually go for, but if you've got a good personality and you can pull the look off, then you're fine. I'm sure it looks good on you since you seem to have had the same style for a while. But I also like the sporty/athletic look....it just depends on you and your personality.

Haha your funni!! you put alot of effort into this dnt you. I would suggest mixing the preppy with the cowboy. jeans with a vintage t and open toe sandals. A nice cowboy beachi type braclet thing would top it off. The hair should be natural and a little longer ( but not too long). That should be perfect :) Dont go to any extreemes because then you will not be steryotyped. Give it a try.

dude the way u just explained the way u look right now.. is completley ugly!!! I like guys that are casual they wear shorts and t shirt. Sometimes some khaki shorts with a casual striped button down shirt and flip flops. Board shorts with a regular quick silver or o neil t shirt. i like stuff like that.

Than again it depends on where u live sometimes because different places have different trends. from your describing it sounds like u r from texas or tennesse!!

When it comes to my boyfrined and the style that he wears. I like him in jeans a t-shirt t-shoes and his hair spiked. It defines him and makes him himself. Girls should want their guy to where clothes that define him like casual style or maybe a dressy but not so dressy style. Guys never go with the preppy look it just doesn't work. Mr. Ghost of James Dean wear what you feel comfortable in and don't worry about what other people think of your style of clothing. It's you wearing those clothes not them.

I would trade off the cowboy boots and cowboy hat, just because you aren't rustling cattle for a living. Try to limit yourself to just one or two rings and just one or two armbands, because as they always say, less is more! You don't have to dress preppy. Instead, try wearing shirts with interesting/funny phrases on them, or mix up the color choices, rather than just t-shirts all the time. Hopefully this helps!!

I would say that, for me, the more comfortable the guy looks in his clothes, the better. It might help to take a look at some clothing stores, and see what the models are wearing. A few good suggestions (for my favorite boyfriend looks) are:

The best thing, however, is that once you leave high school, it will be your individuality that will get you noticed by the ladies. If you keep your look, and enjoy your style, women will notice that, and it will be a turn on. Women like an independent thinker. If you do get into professional acting, you will likely have management, which will hire for you a personal image consultant. In that case, you won't get to decide what your "look" is, and you'll have a lot less to worry about.

Well i don't never tell my guy what to wear. But if we are going to a special occassion then i would ask him if he would dress for the occassion properly.

I like the preppy look, or a little gangster. Your outfit may be suitable for the country, but it seems a little theatrical. However, if your comfortable in it, do what you like.
